Picking the perfect Trumpet
February 11, 2008 by ClayI have a serious case of T.A.S. (trumpet acquisition syndrome). I’m currently playing on my first real horn. It’s a Bach Stradivarius 180-37 that I’ve had for ~25 years. I abandoned it in college for a LT180 43 25lr. I loved that horn, but in my post college days I sold it. Since my comeback I’ve regretted that decision every time I pick up my trumpet. That leads me to where I am today. Wanting to find a new trumpet. I’m trying to find a good explanation of how Bell size and taper effects the sound. So, send it my way if you know.

SPAM
February 8, 2008 by ClayOne of the reason’s I’ve neglected by Blog is the amount of SPAM I was getting. I felt bad every time I opened my admin panel and saw all of the comment SPAM. So today I finally cleaned it up and hopefully have at least slowed it down some. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

iPod Touch as a Remote?
January 30, 2008 by ClaySomething hit me today. The iPod Touch could make a nice multi-functional remote. I’ll have to start digging around to see what I can find.

Don’t sit there again!
July 16, 2007 by ClaySo, I tried to sit in a different seat, but didn’t. Me and Kathleen always split up in the morning. I take one of the boys to his class and she takes the other. The first one done goes and gets us a seat. This works good if you know about where you’re going to sit. We’ll plan better next week.

July 13, 2007 by ClayDavid’s latest blog post really hit home with me. I am really bad about staying in my comfort zone. I tend to always sit in the same place where ever I go – especially in large crowds. So this Sunday I break the cycle.

MLB and Nintendo DS
July 9, 2007 by ClayThis is a sweet idea. I know that they have sometype of Bluetooth zone at Miniute Maid Park this year, but didn’t check it out. I like the idea of being able to access stats during a game. The only drawback would be fighting my son over it during the game. Maybe I need to get my own.
