My life with Camino

I’ve been using Camino for about a week now and have one major compaint. I’m always accidentally closing tabs. I seem to click on the left hand side of the tag and too often click the close tab ‘X’.

It’s Time.

Bagwell’s decision a jolt to teammates
I’ve been an Astros fan my whole life – 35 years – and Craig Biggio and Jeff Bagwell have been a huge part of that. I missed this news Saturday, but it was time. I hope that he decides to retire and the Astros offer him a good [...]

Adobe on the Universal Switch

This post is one of the things that make blogs so wonderful. An Adobe software engineer takes the time to explain the difficulties of making the switch to Universal binaries. I use Photoshop more than I’d like to and would love to have a Universal version of CS3, but I can wait. [...]

The first few days of freedom from work have been interesting. The first day I took care of a few small projects around the house. I had to install some shelves around my desk so that I could setup my work area at home. I’ve spent several hours working on a few [...]

MacBook Pro Round 2

After a quick trip to my local Apple Store I’m now the owner of a second – working – Mac Book Pro. So far so good. I think I’ll be going back to the store to buy Apple Care for it in the near future.

Honeymoon Over

Well, the honeymoon with my MacBook Pro just ended. I was all excited, getting everything setup, when it just shutoff. I thought maybe I did something wrong and tried to restart it – nothing. I tried the reset – no adapter or battery hold the power button for five seconds – [...]

The day finally came.  My MacBook Pro arrived yesterday afternoon.  I’d waited for what seems like an enternity for it’s arrival, but the wait was worth it.  I’ve read a few reports of the MacBook Pros being hot. While I have noticed the heat, it is actually less than my previous Windows laptops (a Compaq [...]

Are the Glory Days of Computer Books Over?

I still find myself purchasing computer books, but is there still a good reason? With the plethora of information available on the Internet and the proliferation of wireless networks, it seems that computer books should no longer be necessary. I can think of just a few reasons to hang onto my collection of [...]

MacBook Pro Upgrade

I canceled my order with Apple for a MacBook Pro 1.83 and placed an order with Amazon for the 2.0 model. It just made more sense all the way around. It had a faster processor, more RAM, more VRAM, a larger harddrive, is suppose to ship two weeks earlier and was only ~$150 [...]
