iPhone Blues

I’ll be paying close attention to this today.  After two years of wanting an iPhone, I’ve decided to go ahead and buy one.  Of course when I made the decision I still had a few months left on my current contract.  So I’ve patiently waited and it expires at the end of the month.  Now [...]

iTunes Genuis

I was originally really impressed with the Genuis playlist feature.  I picked a song that I wanted to listen to and I created a playlist of 100 songs that were great matches.  However, this morning I wanted a new playlist, so I picked a different song from a different artist and out of the 100 [...]

iPod Touch as a Remote?

Something hit me today. The iPod Touch could make a nice multi-functional remote. I’ll have to start digging around to see what I can find.

My life with Camino

I’ve been using Camino for about a week now and have one major compaint. I’m always accidentally closing tabs. I seem to click on the left hand side of the tag and too often click the close tab ‘X’.

Adobe on the Universal Switch

This post is one of the things that make blogs so wonderful. An Adobe software engineer takes the time to explain the difficulties of making the switch to Universal binaries. I use Photoshop more than I’d like to and would love to have a Universal version of CS3, but I can wait. [...]

MacBook Pro Round 2

After a quick trip to my local Apple Store I’m now the owner of a second – working – Mac Book Pro. So far so good. I think I’ll be going back to the store to buy Apple Care for it in the near future.

Honeymoon Over

Well, the honeymoon with my MacBook Pro just ended. I was all excited, getting everything setup, when it just shutoff. I thought maybe I did something wrong and tried to restart it – nothing. I tried the reset – no adapter or battery hold the power button for five seconds – [...]

MacBook Pro Upgrade

I canceled my order with Apple for a MacBook Pro 1.83 and placed an order with Amazon for the 2.0 model. It just made more sense all the way around. It had a faster processor, more RAM, more VRAM, a larger harddrive, is suppose to ship two weeks earlier and was only ~$150 [...]

As expected, today Apple released the new Intel Mac Mini and the iPod HiFi. I was hoping they would keep the same price for the entry level Mac Mini. Apple has gone the way of PC manufacturers and used the intel integrated GPU for the Mini, which makes sense for an entry level computer. [...]
